Emerald Forest Grace wallpaper on a living room wall

Wallpaper has quietly become the fastest way to change a room in India — no demolition, no week-long painting job, no dust. A single wall can go from blank to finished in an afternoon. Below are the four directions we're seeing most in 2026, plus one that's genuinely new this year.

1. Botanicals, but softer

The oversized tropical leaf has cooled off. What's replacing it is quieter: sketched stems, muted florals, and repeating leaf motifs that read as texture from across the room. These are forgiving patterns — they sit well behind a sofa or a bed without fighting the furniture.

Look at Blush Botanical Whisper for a bedroom, Emerald Forest Grace if you want depth, or Chinoiserie Garden Symphony for something more decorative.

2. Geometry on one wall only

Geometric prints are back, but the rule has changed — one wall, not four. Keep the other three neutral and the pattern becomes an architectural feature instead of visual noise. This works especially well in narrow drawing rooms where a patterned end wall adds depth.

Azure Flight Geometry is the boldest of the lot; Autumn Marble Essence and Classic Panel Elegance are the restrained versions if you want structure without the statement.

3. Depth and 3D effects

Prints that suggest relief — layered petals, carved panels, raised texture — give a flat wall dimension without the cost or mess of actual cladding. They photograph well, which matters if you're doing a rental or a showroom. 3D Floral Petal Bloom and Classic Indian Booti Pattern are good starting points.

4. Heritage Indian motifs

Jharokha arches, haveli facades, booti repeats, and miniature-style scenes are showing up in modern flats — often as a single wall in a dining room or entryway, paired with contemporary furniture. It's the least trend-dependent category here; these patterns have held up for decades.

See Classic Jharokha Pattern, Echoes of the Haveli, Amber Palace Grace, or the wider Dharohar and Aakriti ranges.

For pooja rooms and prayer walls

A separate category worth mentioning, since it's one of the most common requests we get. Divine Radha Krishna Harmony, Eternal Om Radiance, Divine Pavilion of Shrinathji, and Divine Jhoola Harmony are all designed for this — the full range sits in Devalay.

For children's rooms

Kids' wallpaper has a shorter lifespan by design — most parents change it every three to four years. Pick something the child engages with rather than something that merely matches the room. Browse Balakriti for the full set.

A short buying checklist

  • Measure the wall, not the room. Width x height, plus 10% for pattern matching and trimming. Send us the numbers and we'll confirm the roll count.
  • Match the material to the room. Kitchens and bathrooms need a moisture-resistant, wipeable finish. Bedrooms and living rooms have far more freedom.
  • Scale the pattern to the wall. Large repeats need distance to read properly. In a compact room, a small or medium repeat almost always looks better.
  • Check the light. A north-facing wall will mute a dark print considerably. Look at samples at the time of day you actually use the room.
  • Prep matters more than price. Wallpaper follows the wall underneath it. A clean, dry, level surface is the difference between a five-year finish and a six-month one.

Browse the full range

If you're just looking, the full wallpaper collection is the widest view. If you already know the mood you want, the curated ranges are quicker: Aakriti, Chaav, Phulera, Dharohar, Balakriti, Devalay, Aalay, and Roop.

And one more: AI-generated picture wallpapers

This is the genuinely new development, and it's worth ending on. Until recently, custom wallpaper meant either settling for a stock mural or commissioning an illustrator. AI image tools have collapsed that gap — you can now generate an original scene, pattern, or mural and have it produced as wallpaper for a single wall.

What it's actually useful for: a mural of a specific place, a pattern in an exact colour that matches your upholstery, or a children's room theme that doesn't exist in any catalogue. The catch is print resolution — an image that looks sharp on a phone often falls apart at eight feet wide, so the file has to be built for print from the start rather than upscaled afterwards.

We handle both sides of this: generating the artwork and printing it at wall scale. Send us a photo of the wall, rough measurements, and the idea you have in mind, and we'll tell you whether it's printable and what it would cost. Get in touch here.
